    Broadly, the development and application of statistical methods to improve health. I’ve mainly worked on applications in genetics, genomics and drug discovery, particularly those integrating multiple data sources of different scales and types.Ìý

    Biography:ÌýÌý Ìý

    I joined Cambridge University as Director of the MRC Biostatistics Unit and Professor of Biostatistics in December 2022 after 12 years leading statistics and genetics groups at GSK, my last GSK position being as a Vice-President in Human Genetics. Prior to that I studied mathematics at Sheffield and subsequently held academic positions in several UK Universities, with my last job before moving to industry as Professor of Genetics Epidemiology and Statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
