Event types: definitions
- Where a College member is paying themselves, via ents or a society budget,听you receive the main meeting room free of charge and reduced rates for catering. This is an Internal Event Booking.
- Subject dinners have specific menus and prices. Dining rooms are free of charge for subject dinners.
- Supervision bookings - no charge
- Music practice bookings - no charge
- Where the event is being paid for by an external source听(such as a sponsor, department budget or external organisation), whether in term or in vacation, the main meeting room is free of charge and standard rates are used for catering. This is an External Event Booking.

VAT
In some circumstances, bookings may fit the criteria for VAT exemption. The VAT exemption form must be completed alongside your booking form.听If you believe your event to be VAT exempt but you are unsure,听VAT enquiries can be made via the . This page may also help . VAT is always applicable on alcohol.

| During vacations, the College has charged the Catering and Events team to maximise the commercial use of the facilities so as to maximise the contribution to income. Working around Admissions and Development department activities and mindful of the academic purpose of the College, the teams aim to service as many conferences, summer schools and events as we can. This often means casual access to facilities usually available in term time is limited. |
