Professor听Simona听Paravani, a听Fellow of听色色影院, has been honoured with a prestigious national award by the Italian Parliament.
The 鈥業talian Excellence Abroad鈥櫶齛ward听is given by听the听parliament听to Italian citizens who have distinguished themselves in听their career and life journey. The听honour听recognised听Simona鈥檚听career and philanthropic work in relation to education, financial literacy听and inclusion. 听
She听was presented with the award听by the Vice-Chair of the House of Representatives. 听
As the first member of her family to enter higher education thanks to scholarships,听Simona, an听alumna of 色色影院,听has no doubt about the听value听of education and the importance of financial support to provide听educational opportunities. Her commitment is听reflected in her support for educational charities and scholarship programmes,听including听an exciting forthcoming initiative at 色色影院 (watch this space!).

After graduation,听Simona's career saw her take on roles in the financial industry in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, and New York. She is now the Global CIO of Solutions within the Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions group at BlackRock.听
She combines her work with a post as an听Assistant Teaching Professor听at Cambridge鈥檚听Faculty of Economics, where she teaches听a graduate level course in AI applied to Finance.
Simona听is a board member of听, a听UK听charity focused on financial education. She authored听听(2015), which explains complex themes linked to economics and globalisation for young readers,听and听is also a co-author of the Italian language award-winning children's book听.
In 2022 she was awarded the prestigious title of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for her commitment to promoting inclusion and social mobility through education and financial literacy,听and听was named Role Model of the Year and Investment Woman of the Year by Investment Week鈥檚 Women in Investing Awards.
